SUPERHERO GALLERY |
I love drawing superheroes (and villains), so I thought I'd use this space to show off my own versions of some old favorites.
Most of these were drawn in my sketchbook, without any reference, so they reflect my impressions of the characters, rather than any one specific version. The idea was to keep it loose and fun and not worry about the details, kind of like a warm-up exercise.

 | SPX 2006: Rockville, MD The Small Press Expo moves 4 miles north to a new venue in Rockville, and everybody worries that it will suck. It rules. |

 |
 | PITTSBURGH COMICON 2005: Monroeville, PA A mainstream convention right in my backyard! How could I not go? As I was to find out, mainstream cons are way different than indie ones. |

 |

| MONKEY, P.I. ANIMATION TESTS |
 test 1 |
 test 2 |
I made these tests a few years ago back when I was considering animating (by hand!) an entire Monkey, P.I. short film.
Since it would have been an ungodly amount of work, and since this was my first attempt at animation since making flip-books in my junior high classroom tablets, I abandoned the project. But I resurrected these flash versions of my pencil tests just for you!
Click the thumbnails to the left to start the animation in a new window--number 3 is my favorite!
